How to make Lavender Simple Syrup

Making your own simple syrup is not only VERY easy but also super affordable and price conscious. As we are all aware, the price of literally everything is increasing drastically, so I want to start sharing how quick and easy it is to make some of our favorite things with ingredients already in our home.

This particular simple syrup only calls for 3 ingredients:

·      Sugar

·      Water

·      Lavender

How to make:

1.     Add equal parts of sugar + water. I personally did 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water.

2.     Add your dry lavender

3.     Simmer on the stove over medium heat for about 20-30 mins.

4.     Once cooled, strain the lavender, and place the syrup into a container of your choice. You are going to want to store the actual syrup in the fridge and use within 2 weeks of making.

So far, I have added my syrup to my iced caramel macchiato and plan to incorporate it into matcha, lemonade, and ice cream. I am completely obsessed with this and cannot wait to make more in the future. What are some of your favorite simple syrups?

Until next time,

Brittanie
