Fall + Winter Plant Care Tips

With fall being officially 8 days away, I wanted to share some helpful tips that I came across when it comes to caring for plants during cooler months. Most of you may be familiar with these tips, but for those who are new to plant life, I hope you find these tips useful.

1.       Invest in grow lights

2.       Slow down on watering

3.       Wean your plants off of fertilizer

4.       Bring your plants back inside

5.       MONITOR for pest

6.       Place plants away from drafty areas

7.       ONLY RE-POT IF NECESSARY

8.       Increase humidity

9.       Prune Prune Prune (clean any dead leaves)

These tips are subjective so be mindful of your particular plants. The best thing to takeaway here is to only re-pot when necessary, and slow down on watering. In addition, some plants that we own become dormant during the fall/winter seasons. You may not notice new growth and that is okay!
